CentOS 5.6 is released finally

After a very long waiting for the update...finally it is announced officially on the centos website that CentOS 5.6 is released.

Simply run 'yum list updates' and then 'yum update' to upgrade from 5.0 - 5.5 version to 5.6.

Check the version of CentOS: 'rpm -q centos-release'
It should return: 'centos-release-5-6.el5.centos.1'


Some features (from the official website)

- Ext4 fully supported file system
- Libvirt updated to 0.8.2
- Bind updated to 9.7 and supports NSEC3
- Ebtables added
- Php5.3 is available as a replacement
- System Security Services Daemon (SSSD) added
- Many other updates
